The Strength of the Lord is Perfect for You

The strength of the Lord is made perfect in all situations. The Power of the Holy Spirit makes this strength effective in all situations. This strength is from God, who promises strength to those who are weak and burdened. The strength of the Lord is ushered in by the precious gift of God’s great grace which calms our fears and empowers us to see beyond the natural, and consequently sets our gaze upon the spiritual reality that is in Christ Jesus our Lord, who is our strength and our shield. Perhaps you are in a season where you need the strength of the Lord to rise again. Find consolation in knowing that, come what may, the strength of the Lord is perfect for you. The strength of the Lord is in His Hand. He says to you, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” God will embrace you with His strong hand. He will sustain and guide you and He will lead you beside quiet streams and peaceful meadows. The strength of the Lord is in His Voice. “The voice of the LORD [is] powerful; the voice of the LORD [is] full of majesty” (Psa. 29:4; KJV). God will instruct you with His voice. He will inspire confident faith in you so that you can trust Him in every situation. His voice will lead you on. God speaks well of you. You are highly favored of the Lord. You are His prized possession. The strength of the Lord is in His Spirit. “Not by might, or by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts” (Zech. 4:6). God will empower you by His Spirit, so that you are able to stand firm and with His strength, overcome every trial. The strength of the Lord is in Himself. “The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; the Lord is robed, He has girded Himself with strength and power; the world also is established, that it cannot be moved” (Psalm 93:1). God will wrap you up in His strength and defend you from the arrows that fly by day and from every pestilence that plagues the darkness. He is the saving strength of His anointed. Finally, the strength of the Lord is in His people (people of like faith). “The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace” (Psa. 29:11; KJV). God will raise a people of faith that are imbued with His strength, to stand with you, to encourage you, to pray for you and to walk with you until your miracle comes. “God gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]” (Isa. 40: 29). Your flesh and your heart may fail, but God is the Rock and firm Strength of your heart and your Portion forever” (Psa. 73:26). Beloved, be strengthened in the strength of the Lord.

Prayer:

Father, make Yourself known to me in my season of despair. Extend Your mighty hand O Lord, I pray and deliver me. Speak to my heart O Lord and direct my way. Empower me O Lord by Your Spirit so that I will be able to stand. Wrap me in the robe of Your strength and protect me from the snares of the enemy. Then surround me with those who trust in You and call upon Your name in truth. Encourage and empower me to wait on You. Lord, I trust in You and I accept all that You said that I am; all that You said that I will become and all that You said that I will receive. Renew my strength as I wait on You and grant me Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Saturate my heart and my mind in that peace that is in Christ Jesus my Lord and my Strength. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
